UHI already has a strong research presence in environmental sciences, marine sciences, aquaculture, fisheries and agronomy and the HI Links project is committed to building on these strengths as well as expanding research capabilities into other areas of regional relevance such health sciences, sustainable development, ICT and renewable energy (in tandem with the UHI Energy Research Group).

UHI HI links offers an individual, confidential and free service that will assess your business needs and ideas to help you develop and prosper. We will work with you to identify the most appropriate solution to address those business needs within the Scottish academic base or beyond.

We can connect your business with the appropriate leading academics in your industry, allowing you to access world class expertise, know-how, technology or facilities that can help your organisation. This may include looking to develop a new product or process, accessing new markets, improving efficiency or cutting costs.
MATCH
UHI HI Links will carry out extensive research on your behalf to match your requirements with the academic expert best suited to your organisational needs. This could be from any academic institution across Scotland or further afield. We can initiate and facilitate introductions as well as support your ongoing interaction throughout the life of a project.
